Choose cover for more than the caravan body

A suitable caravan carport needs to account for the drawbar, tow hitch, mirrors, awnings, roof-mounted equipment and the clearance needed to park comfortably.

Caravans and camper trailers

Measure from the coupling to the rearmost point and include roof air conditioners, solar panels, antennas and other fitted accessories.

Motorhomes and taller vehicles

Check the vehicle's true travel height and allow practical clearance above roof-mounted equipment. Optional height extensions are available for selected models.

DIY, bolt-together construction

The supplied components and assembly guide suit capable DIY installation. Optional back walls and additional side sheeting may be available for selected sizes.

Choosing a Size

Getting your size right the first time

The most common mistake isn't picking the wrong style — it's measuring the vehicle and stopping there.

Caravans: add the tow-ball and drawbar length, not just the body length — it's often another metre or more.

Dual-cab utes & vans: measure mirror-to-mirror width, not door-to-door — mirrors are the first thing to clip a post.

Roof height: account for roof racks, canopies, air conditioners or antennas when checking clearance, not just the vehicle roofline.

Boats: measure the trailer, not the hull — outboards, T-tops and bow rails all add length and height.

Both wrapped and gable roof models may suit touring vehicles when the selected dimensions provide sufficient clearance. Gable models have a higher centre line, while wrapped models provide a streamlined roof profile. Always compare the complete vehicle measurements with the chosen model.
The appropriate base and anchoring method depends on the ground conditions, exposure, intended use and applicable requirements. Concrete slabs, footings or suitable ground anchoring may be used, but customers should obtain site-specific advice before installation.
The bolt-together frame can generally be dismantled and reassembled. Any new location still requires a suitable foundation, anchoring and confirmation of the requirements applying to that site.
