Choose cover for the boat and trailer

A suitable boat carport should account for the trailer, drawbar, outboard motor, bow rail, windscreen, canopy or T-top and the room needed to reverse and move around safely.

Boat and trailer dimensions

Measure from the trailer coupling to the rearmost point of the outboard or trailer, then check the widest and tallest fitted components.

Easy towing and access

Allow useful clearance around posts for mirrors, trailer guards and reversing. Wider 6.0m and 6.2m models make access easier and can cover extra equipment.

DIY, bolt-together construction

The supplied components and assembly guide suit capable DIY installation. Optional back walls and additional side sheeting may be available for selected sizes.

Choosing a Size

Getting your size right the first time

The most common mistake is measuring only the boat hull instead of the complete towing and storage setup.

Overall length: measure from the trailer coupling to the furthest point of the outboard, motor support or trailer.

Overall width: include trailer guards, guide posts and the working room needed to reverse between the carport posts.

Overall height: include the windscreen, canopy, rocket launchers, aerials, bow rails and any fixed T-top.

Access space: allow room to connect the tow vehicle, walk around the trailer and reach covers, batteries and storage compartments.

FAQ

Boat carport FAQs

Measure the complete boat and trailer rather than the hull alone. Include the coupling, drawbar, outboard, trailer guards, bow rail, windscreen, canopy or T-top and aerials, then allow practical clearance for reversing and access.
Current processing is generally 3–5 weeks before dispatch or depot collection. We confirm the expected timing when your order is processed.
The kits use a bolt-together frame and include assembly instructions. The number of people, tools, lifting assistance, foundation and anchoring requirements depend on the kit size and site.
Yes — optional back wall kits and side wall sheeting are available for extra weather protection. Contact us for availability and pricing.
Both wrapped and gable roof models can suit boats when the selected dimensions provide sufficient clearance. Gable models have a higher centre line, while wrapped models provide a streamlined profile with fewer roof joins. Compare your complete boat-and-trailer measurements with the chosen model.
The appropriate base and anchoring method depends on the ground conditions, exposure, intended use and applicable requirements. Concrete slabs, footings or suitable ground anchoring may be used, but customers should obtain site-specific advice before installation.
The bolt-together frame can generally be dismantled and reassembled. Any new location still requires a suitable foundation, anchoring and confirmation of the requirements applying to that site.
